“Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” — John 7:38
The Days of Unveiling, by Randall D. Kittle

In a powerful, prophetic dream, I saw a large desk with many different objects scattered across its desktop. My attention was drawn to an old-fashion desk calendar that was turned to May 1. As I took a closer look, I noticed that on the bottom of the calendar page in red letters was printed the phrase “May Day,” and written in the middle of the page were the words “The Days of Unveiling.” Suddenly, I heard what sounded like a radio distress signal from a World War II aircraft, declaring “Mayday, Mayday, bogies at 12 o’clock high!” With that, the calendar page tore in half from the middle of the top down to the bottom. As the two torn edges in the middle began to swing out, the appearance of the calendar changed into that of a double-doored entryway with both doors swinging out. The opened doorway enlarged and moved toward me until I was through the opening without even having to take a step.

Suddenly, I found myself on the edge of an enormous stage. In the middle of the stage was something quite large, though it was dwarfed by the size of the stage. I couldn’t tell what it was because it was draped with a black covering. Next to it stood a tall man with silver-white hair dressed in a white tuxedo. He stepped up and with one dramatic pull removed the black draping that covered the unknown item. Unfortunately, all this did was reveal a gray covering that was underneath. Despite my disappointment many in the auditorium in front of the stage began to clap and cheer wildly, some shouting, “Thank you, God,” and others weeping. I wanted to ask what had happened to elicit such a great response, but before I could say a word the man dressed in white stepped forward and, with another dramatic pull, removed the gray covering — this time revealing a white cloth still shrouding the item in the middle of the stage. Once again, a great number of those in the on-looking crowd applauded loudly, as I heard some declare “Oh, now I understand,” while others said, “Now I see what God meant!” Then, with a smile on his face, the tall man dressed in white pulled off the white veil and uncovered a clear glass box filled with eyeglasses.

As I stood there wondering why they had made such a big deal over a bunch of glasses, the man in white looked at me and called, “Come up here.” I climbed up the steps to the stage and apprehensively walked to the middle next to the big box of eyeglasses. The tall man had a fragrance about him that relieved my anxious thoughts. (I later realized this was the smell of heaven.) He took a pair of the glasses out of the box, and putting them on my face said, “Now you’ll see.”

As soon as he put them on me, they instantly dissolved, disappearing as they became part of me. I was startled because my vision immediately became so intensely clear. Everywhere I looked, I saw detail and depth unnoticed just a few moments before. Looking about the auditorium, I soon discovered that the large wall on my right was covered with a mural I hadn’t seen earlier. This enormous artwork was a collage of different scenes of the Gospel message. It showed the birth of Jesus, His baptism in the Jordan, preaching the good news, feeding the crowds, healing the sick, calming the sea, raising Lazarus from the dead, sharing the Last Supper, Jesus’ arrest, His crucifixion, the resurrection, and Jesus the reigning King with arms outstretched beckoning others to come into His kingdom. The mural had been there the whole time, I just couldn’t see it until my eyes had been opened by the glasses the man had put on me.

When I looked at the back wall, I noticed another large mural now visible. This, too, was a collage of different pictures; only these scenes were various depictions of the Bible. I saw a double-edged sword with its sharp blade glistening. A large burlap sack was depicted as overflowing with seeds. From the drawing of a lamp, light was actually shining forth. One picture showed a quill pen in a well of ink with a parchment entitled “Last Will & Testament” laying next to it. There was also a balancing scale with the scale pans teetering up and down. When I looked at the picture of a scroll, I noticed that it actually appeared to form a telescope or spyglass. There were also many other things pictured in the collage: a lighthouse … a strong tower made of stone … a towel, basin of water, and bar of soap sitting on a table — to name just a few. The last thing I noticed about this mural were sections of Greek and Hebrew writing. As I stared at them, they appeared to expand and contract as if they were alive and breathing.

Then, looking at the large wall to the left, I discovered that a third mural had become visible. What appeared on this wall was far beyond the words I have to describe it. On the right-side was artwork depicting a vast assortment of angelic beings in various forms. Some had wings, some did not, while others had multiple wings. A few of these angelic depictions were so fierce in appearance that looking at them nearly took your breath away. Some shone brilliantly like a sunrise on the ocean, while others were aflame with fire. At the other end of this collage the artwork portrayed a range of demonic beings. Most of them varied from stealthy dark shadows to enormous hideous beasts. But a few of them were strikingly beautiful (though something in their eyes and smiles revealed the wickedness that dwelt within). In the middle, between these two extremes, there were pictures of people from every ethnic group. Some were achieving great success while others were practicing horrendous wickedness. What was striking about this part of the artwork was that on the right side of this middle section angels seemed to be helping people go to the right — into their realm, while on the left the demonic hordes seemed to be alluring and dragging people toward their side. Then, looking at the lower portion of the center, I noticed there were people seemingly being pulled down by others who clung onto them.

As I finished studying this third mural, the man dressed in white looked at me and declared,
“It is time for the days of unveiling to unfold!” … with that I awoke.

The Meaning Of The Dream
It is important that we know the days in which we are living. At the beginning of the dream, the calendar the Lord wanted me to see was set to May 1 — May Day. “Mayday” is a call of distress in the Air Force. The cry for help I heard said not just Mayday, but that there were “bogies.” This means that the Church is in imminent danger needing to heed this urgent warning, and that we are currently in distress because we are under attack. Look at Paul’s urgent warning to the early Church: “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. … But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived” (1 Timothy 4:1 & 2 Timothy 3:13). The whole world is currently under the attack of a mighty spirit of deception. It is operating on the earth veiling the eyes of both the lost and the Church.

But the good news is that God’s warning comes with a promise, for written on the same day of the calendar was the phrase “The Days of Unveiling.” We are living in days when the Lord is bringing about a great unveiling in the earth to thwart the assault of the enemy. When Jesus died on the cross, the curtain in the Temple was torn from top to bottom (just like the calendar page in the dream), for He had finished paying the price for us to come into the things of the heavenly realm (see Luke 23:45–46). No longer is there a veil of separation. Jesus has paid the price to unveil our hearts … to unveil our minds … to unveil our spiritual eyes.

There are three different areas to which the Lord is bringing His unveiling. In the dream, these were represented by the three covers that were removed, and the three walls that were revealed. The first of these is the black shroud that veils the Gospel. Satan has clouded the hearts of unbelievers so they cannot perceive the Gospel.
“But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them” (2 Corinthians 4:3–4). When the enemy’s veil is upon the lost, the message of salvation seems to be mere foolishness. But as the end of the age continues to unfold, the Lord will increasingly be removing the enemy’s veil that cloaks the Gospel. For years many have prophesied a great end-times harvest, and it will happen because the Lord is going to lift the veil, and the lost will be able to see the truth of the Gospel.

The removal of the gray covering portrays the unveiling of our minds to understand the Word of God. Even the minds of most believers are clouded in seeing the importance of the Scriptures.
We need to be more than “full gospel” — we need to be full of the Gospel and apprehend the fullness of the Gospel! The Bible is more than God’s rule book or love-letters; it is the Seed we plant, the Light that guides us, the Bread that feeds our spiritual lives, the Weapon of our warfare, and so much more. The Bible is the active, alive, God-breathed Word of our God, and we will never fully comprehend it if we allow our minds to see it as less than all it is. Because they have not seen the Bible as God’s unchanging, absolute standard, His final authority, many in our day have taken what they like from the Scriptures and fashioned from it a “new gospel” more popular and acceptable to our society. But this is an apostate gospel, not showing people the Way, but leading them astray. If, instead, we will accept the Bible for all that it is and allow the Lord to unveil our minds of any thoughts that belittle or limit its imputed power, we will not only be free from these deceptions, we will have keener visual insight and understanding of His Word than ever before.

The last veil removed in the dream was that of spiritual deception. The spirit of deception was removed and the gift of discerning of spirits was given. In these days when a strong spirit of deception is operating on the earth, we need discernment like never before in order to determine whether things are being motivated and inspired by God, by man, or by Satan. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1). The enemy has poured out a great flood of deception, but the Lord is raising up a standard against it; a great outpouring of the gift of discernment. Let us earnestly desire this spiritual gift, for our Heavenly Father loves to give good gifts to His children.

The Lord is unleashing a heavenly onslaught of unveiling upon the earth. It will open the hearts of the lost to the Gospel as never before. It will open the minds of believers to lay hold of the Bible in all its fullness. And it will open the spiritual eyes of believers by removing deception and releasing the gift of discernment just when it is needed most.
